As the first female professional pilot to gain employment in Australia, I encountered and overcame many hurdles from those who believed a woman’s only place was in the kitchen ! Rosemary Arnold also encountered the very same hurdles when she became the first female helicopter pilot in Australia.
Rosemary has been an inspiration to many Australians in not only fighting the establishment, she has, at an age when most people are retired or moving into “Gods Waiting Room”, a retirement village, gained a University Degree in Aviation Studies and become a qualified Wedding Celebrant.
I wish her every success in her unique Chapel In The Sky venture.
